Electrical problem

I left the key in the ignition overnight. We charged the battery, replaced it according to Volvo instructions & car’s interior lights came on, but car didn’t start. Now there is nothing electrical working

You removed the battery? My wild guess is that maybe an anti-theft system disabled the engine.
