I have a 1999 Chev S10. Will E85 fuel cause any problems with this truck?
Unless your vehicle is specifically designated as a Flex Fuel Vehicle, you CANNOT use E85; it will mess up your engine.
The engine has to be tuned to detonate at the right time. The ethanol content is too high; your electronic control module can’t adjust for the difference. Why would you want to anyway? The mileage is 20% less than gasoline. Is it that much cheaper where you live?
