I was told that I need a new trans side cover, & mine is leaking trans fluid (mechanic showed me leaking fluid) but he said it could rust through at any minute and really cost me big bucks, how long can I really drive the car like this?
You can drive your car until the side cover rusts through, at which point the transmission will lose all of its fluid and destroy itself very quickly. Then it will cost you big bucks.
