I am guessing that you take everything as a personal insult… To change the scenario a bit, would you have felt compelled to “Politely” explain that they cut up off if they had used their blinkers?
Next, being “nearly collided with” is a subjective opinion. Did they force you to slam on your brakes, did they cause to make an emergency lane change to avoid a collision? Probably not, so this was all your problem because you did not like the way they drove and I imagine a lot of people do not like the way your drive either…
And if I remember correctly you usually are the slug in the lane and that wrote, " I mentioned how I do 50mph in a 55, RIGHT HAND LANE on interstates and parkways. . . . Many drivers who try to pass me on the four-laner end up stuck in the left lane behind someone waiting to turn left, as I roll leisurely by in the rightmost lane."
So, you might have been blocking the normal flow of traffic and the driver who “nearly collided” with you was just trying to pass the vehicle blocking the normal flow of traffic…
Please don’t try to defend your actions on an event that occurred so many years ago… Just let it go, and keep your opinions to yourself while you are driving on the roads… or you can write them in your diary when you manage to get home safely…
