1st off, how much oil is in a single container of oil??
Back when I was dealing with light duty truck Diesels and big forklifts, they normally had 2 quart oil filters, gas engines for the older modern OHV V8 had up to 1 quart oil filters, now a days, you don’t see many 1/2 quart oil filters, most take very small oil filters (if spin on)…
Now IF it was the wrong oil filter, then how did they waste so much oil unless it leaked 2 “quarts” of oil when starting the engine to fill the oil filter before turning off and checking the level…

I either order or select my own filters off the shelf. No room for error. I do check the box though to make sure products weren’t switched. Used to be you’d change filters every other oil change but now every oil change. The standard difference in capacity seems to be one half quart not two. Whoever that is will now have plenty of time to consider his choices. Not sure I believe the story though but there are some excitable people walking free.
I have worked with parts department countermen that gave me incorrect parts everyday, there were no “freebies” for the inconvenience of returning to the parts department for exchange.
This is Ismael Tena’s third shooting, maybe this time he will face prosecution. Other events involved a road rage fight and a breaking and entry occurrence with his vehicle.
You live in a rough city. And the guy shot Jesus. On one of my meals on wheels routes, one of the customers was Jesus. I had fun with that saying I met Jesus that morning and gave him a meal.
This incident actually happened in an unincorporated area southwest of Albuquerque, notorious for its troubles. When I bought a house I looked at one down there. It was shot up. I stay out of the bad parts of town and avoid confrontation. Everyone who’s hot to shoot someone has a gun - but that’s true of most of the US.
I didn’t mean to accuse you. I observed that the Supremes have decided it’s legal to detain people just because they look Latino, speak Spanish, speak English with an accent, or work at the sorts of poorly-paid jobs that patriotic White Americans won’t.
They’re deporting a fellow who works as a landscaper who has an American wife and 3 sons who served in the Marines.
I’ve only replaced a few oil filters. I didn’t think that one that seems to fit enough when you put it on would leak later, that you would only find out then. That seems to reveal my ignorance.
The application fee for permanent residency has increased over the years, but My Three Sons could have donated $1,000 each to dad for his green card. Years ago, when his sons were born, the fee was much less.
On the other hand, there may be issues with his background history that make him ineligible for permanent U.S. residency. That’s a shame but don’t have the media make you believe people are being punished for speaking with an accent.
Hennepin co attorney is lowering felony arrests by reducing racially profiled traffic stops. Or something to that effect. All I know is fewer stops and I read that to mean fewer arrests
It actually means the police could be working on REAL crimes instead of this racial profiling ■■■■. I’ve seen it first hand with an engineer that worked for me. I was in the car when the cops pulled him over basically for a man of color driving a nice car in a very white neighborhood. It wasn’t until a bunch of us pulled out our cell phones and started to take videos of the situation that the cop backed away.
This is not new. Around 1990 I worked with a Ph D in physics from Utah State University. He was driving in Utah when a cop pulled him over for looking like a Native American (he is). It was racial profiling. My friend wanted to blurt out “don’t you know who I am!?” But kept his mouth shut and was released after the cop found no reason to hold him. Oh, he also help a TS with a few compartments and did research for the Air Force.
Everybody has their anecdote. I’ve been stopped a few times for little or no reason. I never asked them if they knew who I was because it was irrelevant. Drinking out of a can of coke, 59 in a 55, flickering tail light, high beam out, can’t remember them all. Just polite and let them investigate. Never made a quick movement for the glove box or under the seat and never been shot. I don’t do drugs or drive with more than one glass of wine. I don’t expect perfection from any profession but I do expect prosecutors to prosecute violent acts. Some call it bias, others simple math.
I will admit though one morning I was stopped for going 70 in a 55. I did mention who I worked for, where I was going, and why. I usually don’t unless they ask. He let me go and just told me to slow down.
About 11:00 one pitch black night, I was pulled over by a black officer. I didn’t feel profiled, just handed over my license and insurance information and checked the computer for my history. Just a verbal warning. Now the old white guy that didn’t like my legal U turn thought he was Gods gift. Same as the jerks that made me get written permission to haul sand for the kids sand box after I already had an OK from the owner.
There are good officers and jerks but the good ones usually know the trouble spots and who is involved. I think we should let them simply do what they are good at and take th3 sociologists out of the picture. Gotta discount stuff coming out of Canada. They are both literally and figuratively on fire.
