I have a 2006 Dodge Ram. I have these air bubbles in my paint above my driver’s side rear tire just above the wheel well that are starting to pop up. What could be causing this and what should I do?
These aren’t air bubbles. These are rust bubbles. Left unaddressed, they’ll get worse. Let a reputable body shop assess the damage and advise you on the repairability.
Or, if you’re hands-on type, grind it to the metal and so a proper repair. That may mean a skim coat of glazing compound or it may mean rebuilding part of the wheelwell’s edge. The good news is that many sources sell body-section parts to repair areas such as this. Or, if you can grind it to metal and prime and paint it, since it’s a pickup truck wheelwell edge you may be able to buy an ABS “wheel arch” to go over it.
Ok. Thanks for the info
