Dodge charger 2007 Heater problem

@lcw, if your car is still under warranty, definitely take it to the dealer.

The finned unit in the illustration is the cooler. What year is yours? If you determine the oil cooler is restricted/clogged,
I suppose you could try cleaning the cooler either by rigging up a hose to connect it to your garden hose or MAYBE pouring vinegar into it and let it set. Me? I would spend the 70-90 dollars and replace it.image

hi,

In my case it was the oil cooler blockage and had to replace the oil cooler and it started working.

2007 and not under warranty other than powertrain. It has been at the dealership since before Thanksgiving and they still can’t fix it. Last report it was 2300 and they flushed everything, turned it up, and then replaced heater core. They later said they were replacing thermostat even though it appears to work and that was days ago and they haven’t called back yet. Needless to say I am very unhappy with dodge.
