Well one way to avoid a car payment is to just pay cash for one. I have a case right now where the customer came in and wrote a $92,000 check for a pickup. Must be nice to be able to do that. Meanwhile I’m looking for a car with a budget of $5000.
You getting any use out of that 89 Dodge yet?
Yes. I put new tires on it, and have driven it every now and then. It runs great, and rides like a dream. The next project on this car is going to be replacing the stereo speakers, which are worn-out, and swapping the AM/FM only stereo with the official Chrysler AM/FM/CD/Cassette unit from a junkyard…the one which came in the 1996-2000 minivans. And then, of course, when the summer comes, I will do the timing belt, etc.
