My father-in-law has just bought a new Dodge Caravan. As he was starting it up in our driveway tonight, he managed to open both side doors without wanting to.
I’m wondering if there is a way to disable the power functionality of these doors?
I don’t see the rationality of that but if you must, pull the power door fuses. The cover on the fuse box will designate which one(s).
That new van MAY have an override button to disable the power doors too.
Check the dash buttons and/or the overhead drivers convenient panel.
With this override button OFF you can still open/close the doors by hand, albeit a little stiffer.
