Dealer Rate to Change Spark Plugs

When someone says they don’t want to work on your car you should take them at their word. I realy wonder what the problem is in doing a clutch on your car,why is it so dispised?

They said, the design is awful; we can’t tell if the new clutch cable is in right, and the manual isn’t enough help.

They also complained that the cable goes around a bend and has a weird placement, so that again it’s too confusing. He also said his transmission-specialist buddies hated the "weird set-up"design and said it’s hard to get it right and the they have to come back and back and it’s not worth the headache.

I found here in the forum that the Sidekick’s smaller cousin has a clutch cable that goes from the driver’s side around the front of the engine to the passenger side to the “fork” there. That does sound ridiculous. And maybe it’s not coincidence that the clutch feels tight the way a rope would feel tight if you were dragging something heavy around the corner of a building with a cable—like the force used to move the item was not in a straight line…but I have a colorful imagination.

Mein Gott–really? That’s awful. Kinda like when as a nurse I went on an assignment where I earned 13.50/hr doing night shift, weekends, in the critical care unit–and the agency earned 43/hour for my services…I peeked at the paperwork laying out on the supervisors desk. I can see charging hundreds for a CT Scan and paying the tech who runs it 25/hour, but the machine is the big expense…but the overhead elsewhere is just not THAT high.
