Anyone have this problem? I have a 1994 Camry wagon, 105,000 miles, that occasionally loses acceleration only when traveling at highway speeds (60 mph or more)for a little while.Pressing the accelerator does nothing. I have to pull over, turn off the engine, then restart it, and it’s O.K.Car runs great otherwise.
There are a number of things that could cause this, but the most likely would be a failing fuel pump IMHO.
If the fuel filter has never been replaced, then there is an extremely good chance the pump is on the way out.
Put a clean fuel filter on it and check the fuel filter.
