I have a 2000 dakota that has developed a vibration, most noticable when under load, it feels just like a u joint that I replaced last year, thought it was the other and just replaced that, but vib is still there. Engine is smooth at least under no load. Any thoughts??
could be many things…start simple… recheck your tires for proper balance.take a gander under there and make sure you don’t have something wrapped up on the drive shaft
Yup, the U Joint replaced last year has suffered and early failure.
Also look at the pinion angle. Sometimes the springs sag and the pinion angle needs to be readjusted.
