Collector Cars After New Green Deal

Speaking of collector cars, anyone ever hear of a Whippet? Evidently named after a dog breed and looks like it was a Willys chassis. I’d never heard of it before. A local history book had a reprint of ads from dealers back in 1928 or so and there was a Whippet dealer around. About 5000 of them I guess. Might have been a fore runner to Superior Coach. More research.

Whippet? Yes I have and I have seen pics, but for the life of me I can’t remember what it looked like.

Look just like all the rest back then-just like now.

I don’t think I have ever seen one, but I have read about them. Whippet was a smaller, cheaper model that Willys made for about 5 years, in the late '20s-early '30s.

Is this at the Houston Art Car Parade where the most “far-out” vehicles can be enjoyed?

I don’t know. I just did a web search for oyster car and this popped up.
