do you have a suggestion to keep door locks from freezing
Garage?
Seriously though, you may want to put some teflon lubricant like Tri-Flow (available at bicycle shops or gun shops) in the lock mechanism and around the rubber seal of your driver’s side door.
DO NOT wash your car before a freezing night. Water will become ice and freeze your door shut.
WD40 might work too but is far inferior to Tri-Flow.

And it does terrible things to locks in the long run. It is a water displacement (WD). It will help get water out of there if there is any, but it will in time leave a sticky goo mess in the lock and that can be a pain to clean up. If you are going to use WD-40 then rinse it out with a zero residue cleaner once you get the water out.
thanks I’ll try that
Any good auto parts store has graphite lock lubricants that should work fine.
