Clutch leak in 87 Toyota

In Aug09 clutch reservoir was empty. Refilled, it was empty again in Feb10. Should I have clutch repaired or just add fluid regularly? 145,000 total miles, about 70,000 since clutch replaced.

The problem is not the clutch itself, but the hydraulic system that operates the clutch. Either the master cylinder or the slave cylinder is leaking. I suggest having it repaired. If you lose too much fluid the clutch will not work.

It won’t fix itself…Replace the clutch master and slave cylinders and be done with it…

I agree. One day the clutch system will not hold pressure and you will be stuck in the middle of nowhere unless you can shift without the clutch.
