2002 Subaru Outback. Regular clicking in the drivetrain up front starting a couple months ago. Not clearly localized to one side or another. Most common when it’s cold. The clicking occurs at speeds approx above 20mph and only while accelerating and is directly related to speed. No click at a steady speed and no click driving in circles left or right. Had at least one outer CV boot changed in the past and changed the inner boot on the right side last summer. All the boots are in good shape now. Boot replacements were all one piece OEM type. Any thoughts on the source of the sound.
had a similar problem on a chevy.but the clicking sound would occour at low speeds.while it turned out to be the intermediate steering shaft.‘just a thought’
