p0401 error code which is EGR problem keep reappearing.
I’ve replace EGR valve, and have blown out (cleaned) every hose and have replaced the feedback.
Error still shows up and the 2000 Expedition chocks severely under load. (Going up a hill)
Please help. Same economic problem here.
“replaced the feedback” - I assume you mean the DPFE?
The Ford system normally also has an EVR solenoid - the vacuum solenoid that controls the opening of the EGR. If yours leaks it will may provide vacuum to the valve when it or if it has an electrical supply or stuck closed problem to won’t open it when it should. You also have to check all of the vacuum lines between the manifold and EVR solenoid and EVR and EGR.
