The codes for the check engine light when it has come on are :



P0442 & P0445

I have reset the lightindicator and it stays off for approx 60 miles then come back on. Thwe vehicle is a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Can you tell me what is needed to repair or correct this problem?

Both codes are attributed to the Emissions Evaporative System. Question: Do you stop filling your vehicle when the fuel nozzle shuts off or do you fill it to the top? If you fill it to the top you may be harming your Evap system. There could be another reason for the code but overfilling your gas tank is the most common. Have a good mechanic check it out.
