CDK Global provides software for common tasks at car dealerships like sales records and scheduling. About 15,000 dealerships use some or all of their products. Their system was hacked on Thursday, 6/19 and they are still trying to recover from it. Not all dealers use this software, but with a little over 18,000 dealerships and 32,000 franchises, that’s a huge chunk of the market.
