Car won't go over 60mph

2015 Kia Soul, 140,000 miles.

We took the car in today to have the flex pipe replaced. No other problems with the car. When the job was done, we hit the freeway to go home. The car wouldn’t go over 61 mph. Starts right up, still runs OK as long as you don’t push it to over 60. We took the same freeway on the way to the shop doing at least 70 mph with no problem. No other symptoms that we noticed. Ideas?

There has to be a restriction in the exhaust.

If the Check Engine light isn’t on, then the muffler may have collapsed internally.

Take it right back where you got the flex pipe replaced and tell them this.
