Car temperature guage

The internal guage that shows outside temperature is behaving quite strangely of late…anywhere from -35 to 117 degree F. I just recently had a check engine light come on and changed the knock sensor and two oxygen sensors. Could this be related. Do I have a real problem?

I would ignore the outside temperature gauge. However maybe we can help with the CEL. How about getting us the actual error code. It should be in the format “P1234” maybe someone can help figure it out.

If the outside thermometer started acting up right after the work was done, have the shop check to see if any wiring was disturbed when they changed the knock sensor…Otherwise, don’t worry about it…
