1996 dodge stratus 2.0l 4cylinder Man Trans

MY CAR STALLS WHILE DRIVE AT THIS TIME CHECK ENGINE LITE IS ON WENT TO LOCAL AUTOZONE FOR FREE PULLIN CODES CAME BACK TO SAY IGNITION COIL/ IGNITION MALFUNCTION MISFIRE. REPLACE THE IGNITION COIL CAR WORKED FOR A WHILE NOW THE LITE IS STILL ON WILL NOT GO OFF STILL GIVING OUT SAME CODES. NOW THE CAR IS STALL WHILE DRIVE FOR 10 MINS CAN WAIT FOR 10 MINS START BACK UP DRIVE UP THE BLOCK CAR STOPS WHAT IS WRONG. I CHANGE THE CAM SENSOR, FUEL PUMP RELAY (THINKING IT COULD BE THE FUEL PUMP) ALSO HAD PRESSURE TEST DONE CAME OUT FINE, CATALYTIC CONVERTER HOPING THAT WOULD WORK NO WAY!! TOOK IT TO DIAGNOSTIC CENTER TO SEE WHY CHECK ENGINE LITE STILL ON CAME BACK IGNITON COIL BAD. CHANGE THE COIL STILL DOING THE SAME THING. AT THIS POINT ITS NOT THE COIL I BOUGHT IT FROM THE DEALER COILS ARE OK. I’M NOT GETTING NO SPARK FROM THE PLUGS. NOW IM FRUSTRATED COULD YOU HELP ME OUT HERE I WAS TOLD IT COULD BE THE CRANK SENSOR OR THE POWERTRAN CONTROL MODULE(PCM). IS THERE A WAY TO SEE WHICH IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. SOMETHING IS GETTING HOT FAST THE ELECTRICAL CURRENT IS NOT CONNECTING TO THE COIL NOT KEEPING THE COIL TO STAY RUNNING. PLEASE HELP THANKS."

The crankshaft sensor is my first guess… I’ve had one of those go bad before and it caused the exact behavior you described. When the engine warms up, the sensor cuts out and the cars dies… after it cools down, the sensor may work again and the car will start.

I know I am a pest about it, but ALL CAPS are difficult to read. Using standard case and paragraph spacing makes messages much easier to read. Making them easier to read means more people will read it and you are more likely to get a good answer.
