I have a 1998 Chrysler Sebring, the makes a sound like a helicopter and similar to the chopper sound of a flat tire in the front left side when the wheel is straight or turned toward the drivers side. The sound gets faster as the car moves faster which leads me to believe it has something to do with the wheel/tire/axel. Any information and possible price quotes for a repair to this problem?
You almost certainly have a bad wheel bearing - probably on the passenger’s side.
It can just as easily be a tire with tread separation. Usually, you can spot it just by examining the tires…You will see the deformed area in the tread…
Take this to a shop before you kill yourself.
