WHILE DRIVING MY 2003 HYUNDAI ELANTRA, I HAVE NOTICED LATELY THAT WHEN I APPROACH 60-64MPH, MY STEERING WHEEL BEGINS TO SHUDDER. IT GOES AWAY IF I GO FASTER(ABOVE65MPH) OR BELOW 60MPH, ANY CLUES? I DON’T KNOW IF IT IS THE TIRES BECAUSE IT ONLY SEEMS TO HAPPEN AT 60MPH+ OR IF MAY ITS THE BALL JOINTS? HAPPY TO TAKE SUGGESTIONS, THANKS A BUNCH!
Well we’ll need some more details first. How many miles does the car have on it? How many miles do the tires have on them?
Usually a shake in the wheel is due to unbalanced tires, but I want to know more about the car before I make any suggestions.
