Car is slow to crank over when starting

Can you hook up a charger to the car while it’s parked?

@GeorgeSanJose‌ No, it still persists. I’m gonna take it to have it thoroughly tested (battery, starter, alternator) tomorrow after work. Hopefully get an idea or answers to why it’s doing it.

@shanonia‌ I could, but the alternator is doing its job.

Seriously?! Problem fixed. I went to get the starter, alternator, battery tested at a battery shop. Turns out when he went to test the alternator, it wasn’t getting a good connection to the fuse box in the engine because a bolt to hold the connector wasn’t tight. Glad that’s over with. Thanks guys for the posts and the help. I appreciate all of it

Thanks, SPEx8, for sharing the happy outcome. Often the problem is something simple, but only obvious after a careful methodical look-see!

thanks for the update, glad it was simple to fix!
