Car headlight

i have a 1996 pontiac sunfire.one of my headlights is alot dimmer.i put a new bulb in there and still the same thing.

Most of the time this is caused by a corroded connection that puts too much resistance in the circuit. Usually this in in the ground to the body of the car.

is the bulb itself dimmer, or is there crap collected on the inside of the headlight lens? Or is the plastic pitted and oxidized, making it cloudy and less transparent?
