Then your memory is faulty, as Blizzak has been a Bridgestone trademark for many years, long predating Bridgestone’s buyout of Firestone.

I relocated to Tampa 3 yrs. ago so no more snow worries. Love the '09 Vibe, 52,000 Original miles and should easily outlive me LOL I just turned 70 btw

I turn 72 tomorrow, and I have very vivid memories of Blizzak always having been a Bridgestone trademark, and never being associated with the Firestone name.

winter tires should be mounted in sets of four .

Gotta agree with that. If you have ever done a loop de loop with bad rear tires, you’d put all four on.

@oldtimer-11 I think is from that area but geez, the guy has a different car by now. Part of the problem in that area is avoidance of the problem. Several feet of snow at one time and you happen to get caught on the interstate and you sit there unable to move with a hundred other cars. So yeah winter tires but pay attention to the forcast.
