Car feels likes a tank

I have a 2003 chevy cavaliar

It sounds and feels like a tank while drving, I can feel the floor boards vibrate and the rotating of the wheels is like a knife on a one of those round stone sharpening blades.

If there is a clicking sound, it would point towards a CV joint, but what you are describing sounds more like a wheel bearing. In any case it sounds like it has now reached the dangerous level. Have it towed or drive very carefully to the shop.

While I am having a very hard time understanding the “feels like a tank” reference, I agree with Mr. Meehan that the noise is very possibly a wheel bearing about to seize. A seized wheel bearing is a major safety issue, so the car needs to be driven very slowly to a competent mechanic a.s.a.p.

Please note that “competent mechanic” does not include places such as Midas, Meineke, Monro, Sears, Discount Tire, or any other chain operation.
