Car at grocery store

The bicycle on top is a ‘double’: one frame welded on top of another.

In the same lot I saw a car without a hood and a whiskey bottle for the windshield wiper fluid. I wanted to take a picture but the driver was in the car.

That Nissan is a very strange art car.

The bicycle is only a distraction, the real feature is in the hood. The cold air intake adds 1 horsepower.

Thanks. I didn’t know that. The air intake was what I asked about - this is ‘Car Talk’ community. The bike is in the picture perforce and I thought people might notice it and wonder, so I pre-answered. How much power does he lose from the loss of streamlining?

And the aerodynamic disruption subtracts 3.

Are those air scoops I see, some on pipes that go along the edge of the windshield, above the roof, pointing forward, official ways to do that?

Those air inlets keep the water out of the engine when splashing through creeks.

The Nissan: Pedestrian impact protection; if a pedestrian were struck by that car and slid across the hood, they would be cut open, and their intestines will spill out. The police need to have a talk with that driver.
