Hello! I have not driven my car for a month and now have this noise. It is a 2016 V Jetta and normally in great shape. The noise is in the background and sounds like something soft is rubbing against something. It picks up at 10 mi/hr or so and then stays on…Thank you!
I don’t know what you’re using in an attempt to upload an audio file, but it can’ be heard.
Sorry!

Thank you….I was worried it won’t work.
It played just fine for me…
I cannot help in diagnosing the sound but I downloaded the file and it is a standard music format (MP3). If you Right Click on the graphic, you can select to have the file Repeat over and over again as it is originally only 8-seconds long. If you click on the three dots, you can then select the play back speed…
If you select a playback speed of 1/2 and lower the volume, it is might make you feel like you are the “Chef Engineer Geordi La Forge” on the Starship “USS Enterprise-D”
But if you were driving the Enterprise -D, I would suggest you re-align the Phase Coils. L
L . . .
I couldn’t make out any strange noise either, only the back ground noise…
Your best bet would be to use Chassis Ears to pin point the noise…
All that I was able to hear was what sounded like "road noise ". As Dave suggested, a mechanic can use chassis ears to localize the noise.

By the D they no longer had the Chief Engineer saying “the dilithium crystals can’t take much more of this”.
Maybe so, the “records stored in the Federation Archive at Memory Alpha were lost during the Eugenics Wars" but this file survived; perhaps when they “changed the Timing Belt” they should have replaced the “water pump” too because this coolant Leak sure caused a problem…

The OP might enjoy real help at least before going off topic about fantasy land…
