I had purchased the special Toyota spanner tool which has been discontinued. Looks like at some point it has gone missing out of the trunk of my 2004 Camry. I’ll need to replace the water pump on my daughter’s 2005 Camry shortly; does anyone know of a non-Toyota spanner tool that works? I don’t want to spend $50 to $60 a second time and end up with a tool that doesn’t work,
You can remove the bolts by loosening them while the belt is still on in most cases. If that does not work a chain wrench will work, just use a old drive belt between the pulley and wrench to prevent damage to the pulley.
