Hi,
I got a problems with ABS sensors since the ABS lights illuminates on the dashboard. The Toyota Dealership said that I need to change the whole rear wheel bearing for just fixing that problem. Is that correct? Thank you!

Here’s the sensor.
And here’s a new bearing with the sensor installed.
So, the bearing assembly doesn’t need to be replaced.

I was surprised two of the ABS sensors were priced as high as a number of the combination sensor+bearing/hub assembly.
No need to use the dealer, it’s a simple repair. Find a good independent shop for most all your repair needs. How many miles on it? It might be worth having the wheel bearing anyway on a 13 year old car, since it comes off during this repair.
Thank you very much!!!
Yes. I will just find a repair shop in town.
My car has 150k miles on it.
Suggest to not just go to a random shop. Get a personal shop recommendation first. Ask friends, co-workers, relatives etc which shop they use, choose a shop from that list. .
