Do you own a 1983 Ford Escort Station Wagon?
I’ll counter your question with another
What problems are you having with your 1983 Escort wagon?
Almost NO one owns an '83 Escort anymore. They’ve long ago rusted away or blown up.
Why are you asking ? Are you directing this question to a specific person?
Hello Mustangman;
Thank you so much for your reply.
You probably won’t believe this, but we have one!! Bought it new in January 1983 from our local Ford dealer at the time.
Ours is a station wagon.
Our youngest son came home from the hospital in this car, and I always thought it would be FUN for him to have the car he
came home from the hospital in, so I was determined to keep it. Not sure he is old enough yet to appreciate it.
When he was a senior in high school our family “restored” it for his senior project. At that time we got a classic car plate for it.
It’s been sitting for years because of a brake problem, and tonight my husband started it, and we drove it around our neighbor hood many times. We have a little bit of work to do on it again, but it is cute when our
grandson asks if Pop Pop is going to fix it.
Now it is old enough for an antique plate, so we will be getting that soon.
Just love this old car. There were so many of them.
Again, thanks so much for your reply.

Hello VOLVO_V70
Just found this site tonight, and thought I’d send an email and ask.
Thank you so much for your reply.

I had an '84, decent enough car for the time but grossly underpowered.
I am truly impressed with your dedication to this particular car.
You may have the only Escort with an antique plate in the entire country!
We got rid of my wife’s late 80’s Escort 20 years ago, so no help here!
