Buying a vehicle from a start-up company

… can result in a lot of… surprises… and most of those surprises are not good. Then, if the company goes belly-up, good luck with getting those problems corrected.

Before they went bankrupt I saw a ridiculous amount of customer complaints and requests for buybacks for these cars. They seemed to be the modern-day equivalent of the Yugo as far as reliability goes.

If you’re really sure you want a car from an unproven company, maybe it would be better to get one on a short term lease.

Heck, I don’t even trust reputable, many decades old, new engines, transmissions, etc stuff, much less a start up company’s stuff…

I am neither a Pessimist, Optimist nor a Realist, as a Pessimist sees a dark tunnel, and a Optimist sees a light at the end of the tunnel, but I am a little closer to a Realist but not quite as I am the Train driver that sees 3 idiots standing on the tracks about to get ran over…
