I had to get my bumper replaced after a small accident. When I picked up my car at the body shop it sounded like a completely different car than when I dropped it off. They told me that I need a new exhaust system and the noise had nothing to do with the work they did. Is this true? When they were replacing the bumper could they have hurt the exhaust sytem?
The accident may have loosed up something in the exhaust system or damaged something.
I drove the car for about three weeks after the accident before getting the bumper replaced but the sound didn’t start until I took the car to the body shop
