Tom and Ray addressed this issue with a caller not too long ago. My antena is stuck in the up position. I hear the motor turn on and off, but the antena does not move. Tom and Ray told a caller that there is a plasitc ribbon inside the antena motor that has probably broken. They advised the caller to replace the ribbon. My motor has platic connectors. There is no way to open the case with a screwdriver. How can I open the motor to see what is wrong with it? Thank you.
You unscrew the nut at the base of the mast and either power the ribbon out or pull out the parts that will come out. If pieces of the ribbon are broken off inside the housing you will have to use you “no servicable parts inside” skills
