My '94 chevy tahoe brake pedal has a surging problem when depressed, but only when the vehicle is cold. The problem stops after driving for 10 minutes or so, and doesn’t occur at all when the vehicle is started up after sitting out in the midday heat. When the surging occurs, the front end shimmies and I can feel it in the steering wheel. Any ideas out there?
Surging as in “rising up quickly?”
Are you sure that’s the word you’d use to describe what is going on?
Have a shop check out the anti-lock brake system (ABS), the front-end steering and suspension.
