Can be beneficial when another person can relate to OP’s problem, which is why I decided to post here. I let OP know I’ve taken mine in for the same issue with no luck. So if he has the same luck as me, at least he knows someone else has the same issue and the dealer couldn’t do anything about it.
Please let us know if they find the cause of the squeak. Congrats on your new car. Just curious, does your Skoda have the arrow/American Indian headdress emblem?
" In 1923, two different trademarks were registered at the Office for Innovation and Model Registration in Plzeň. The first depicted a winged arrow pointing to the right with five feathers in a circle and the second was a winged arrow with three feathers. The famous winged arrow with three feathers still forms the Škoda logo today. The ŠKODA text was added to the logo in 1936. The arrow represents speed, the wings progress and freedom, the eye precision and the circle unity, completeness, world and harmony.[76][77] The story goes that, on his travels through the US, Emil Škoda had once been so taken with a Native American’s feathered headdress that he had returned to Plzeň with a relief image which inspired the logo."
Update. I took the car to the service.
They treated me as if i was hearing things… They lubricated the pedal, but as soon as i drove off from the dealership, the sound reappeared.
Very dissapointed and i dont know what to do.
Absent any other braking problems — seems like you have three options:
Live with it. Accept this is just what your car does. The sound will probably eventually get worse (louder) , at which point your shop should be able to diagnose & repair the cause.
Ask your shop to keep your car for a week at the shop, you find other transport, and ask one of their staff to drive it as their daily commuter car. Then the shop can make a guess what part might be malfunctioning & causing the sound, and you agree to replace that part on a flyer. You’ll be happy to take the risk, and still pay the fee without complaints, even if it doesn’t work.
Ask your shop to replace every part associated with the braking system that is designed to be replaceable. Again, you’ll still pay the fee w/out complaints if it doesn’t work.
