I have a 1994 Nissian Altima. The out side brake lights stay on constantly. This problem just started about three weeks ago.I changed out the brake light switch twice. I thought the first one was faulty. I still have the same problem. Any suggestions?
Did they come on with the hand brake before?
no, they didn’t
I suspect your brake pedal arm is not returning back far enough to disconnect from the brake light switch.
Look under the dash and see if the arm is in contact with the switch.
Unplug the brake light switch. If they go out the switch is faulty or out of adjustment. If they don’t you have a short to power probably at the connector.
