my 2002 BMW 525 on board display (right behind the driving wheel) is having a problem. Some vertical display lines at certain positions are not lighting up. Numbers or characters in those problem position will have a vertiacl line missing when displayed.
Do I need to have the whole display replaced? or is there a better way to fix it?
This is a common problem on 5 and 7 series. The display screen is replaceable, I think the part is around $500 plus labor at the BMW dealer.
