i have changed my master cylinder and the back calipers on my Honda Accord 1994 with an ABS system.i have receieved two conflicting information on how to bleed. when everyone agrees where to start and where to end, I was told by one mechanic to not pump the brakes while bleeding and the other one told me to first do it with out pumping the brake and if it is still spongy to pump it the old way. which advice should i listen to?
Each ABS system has it’s own method of bleeding the brakes. Some allow bleeding in the conventional manner while others require that special procedures be followed. Otherwise the result can be no brakes at all.
I suggest that you obtain the proper brake bleeding procedure for the ABS for your vehicle. Otherwise it could end up at the dealer to correct the incorrect procedure.
