Head scratcher, how come a guy riding a motorcycle (no seatbelt for sure!) can pull you over and give you a ticket for not wearing a seat belt, because you sitting in a car and are not safe without it!
Well, for that matter, why can a cop who continually has a cellphone glued to his ear ticket others for doing the same thing?
I don’t know about other states, but in my state the statute banning the use of hand-held cellphones while driving specifically exempts cops from the ban.
Not only cell phones but they are typing on their keyboards. I’ll give 'em a break though, they have a tough job right now. Most of them have been pretty nice to me except that jerk city guy that gave me a ticket on my 50th birthday. When I go through that town now, I go about 10 mph less than the limit, just trolling for trouble daring them to stop me.
