Bizarre fixes

That’s still not bizarre, just puzzling, unless that’s how the engine tells it’s time to do away with the choke/fast idle.

I had a 1986 S10 Blazer. The ECM fuse blew for no apparent reason one day, shutting down the truck. Replacing the fuse always resulted in the engine starting, running for three seconds, only to be shut down again due to the same fuse blowing. After being towed home by a friend, I searched for the cause for three days, to never find it. I somehow figured out that if I unplugged the oil pressure sensor, the fuse would not blow. There was no apparent cause for this (that I can remember since this happened when I was 17 years old), but for whatever reason, this worked. I continued driving the truck for several months like that and never had another problem.
