After hearing the call from the bird researchers who had a broken engine coolant shower system, I remembered that my camp shower bag was trashed last year. So, I was searching online for a new one and found the R&M Vehicle Mounted Shower system offered by Decker’s. This thing has a heat exchanger which mounts under the hood of your vehicle and utilizes the heated coolant headed from the engine to the heater core. A pump delivers cold water to the heat exchange, then to the shower head, and you have a hot, pressurized shower. A little excessive for my needs, but a brilliant idea. I hope they got that guano washed off by now.
With all the machinery and such he said was available, I’d have repaired the old one or just whipped up a new heater/pump. Heck, if nothing else, it wouldn’t take more than twenty minutes to put together a drip furance considering the 7k gallons of #2 oil they have.
