I’m in need of a used diesel SUV, current contenders are a Chevy Suburban and a Ford Excursion in 7.3l diesel. I have heard good things about a Dodge Diesel engine as to ease of repairs but don’t know a model in the large SUV Category.
So for long term reliability, ease of service and cost of repairs, where should I look. Current top of the list is the excursion but I’ve been told that to replace a turbocharger you have to drop the engine!! ouch!
