Does belt conditioner really extend automotive belt life? Can I use it on my serpentine and timing belts?
No. You shouldn’t put anything on serpentine and especially timing belts.
Prestone Belt Dressing actually works, but it is intended for the older V-type belts. It should not be used on serpentine belts, which are more common these days. I’ve never heard of its use on timing belts, which are often of the toothed variety.
