Battery warning light

I checked the fuse to the battery and I made sure the alternator is working, but never the less I found that my battery needed replacing. I replaced it w/a brand new battery and minutes after I did this the light which had stopped coming on came back on again! What could be possibly wrong if I’ve already eliminated all those other possibilities?

Has anyone checked the charging system? Did anyone charge that new battery before putting it in your Acura?

“I checked the fuse to the battery and I made sure the alternator is working”

HOW did you make sure the alternator was working??

I purchased it from the vendor so I’m assuming it was ready to go upon purchase.

I used the same component I used to check the fuses.

??? Wwith the engine off connect your voltmeter to the battery. Whats your voltage reading?

Start it up whats your voltage reading now??

While the car is off it reads 12.68, while it’s idling it reads 14.7.

Voltages are good, so i presume that current/amps are low.

I’m not sure what causes that. Take it to a parts store & have the alternator output tested.
