I just replaced the battery in my
car. It is the exact same model as the old, but is shorter in size. Is this normal?

As long as the new battery has sufficient Cold Cranking Amperage (CCA), the difference in size is not significant.
Thanks for the response! According to an on-line battery chart, the model I bought is one that has sufficient CCA for the vehicle.
