Battery keeps dieing when cold

The past 2 fridays went to leave work, warmed up the car came out and the battery light was on. Was able to drive for about 1 mile and all h@ll would break loose with power, and anything with a light. Then just shut off. Had it at the shop in between. New battery installed said alternator was registering good. Any ideas?

Not sure what you mean by ‘alternator was registering good’

A competent shop will be able to figure this out. If the car starts the battery may be OK , if the battery light is on when the car is running, I would suspect a bad alternator or corroded cables.

Get the car to another shop to look at this.
