My Saturn L200 (2001) makes banging noises sometimes - not always - and not in reaction to using brakes, going over rough roads, etc. But it sounds like it’s coming from the suspension or shock absorbers. Any ideas?
We have LOTS of ideas, but they are just guesses…Have a front-end shop check it out and find out what is REALLY wrong…

I totally agree with Caddyman. However I might add one possibility. Does it do it after you shut the engine off and the exhaust system might be cooling?
